Riddle Rack restoration

My latest project; restoring and refinishing a riddle rack straight out of the cellars of Moët. Upon leaving Europe, my wife and I collected 3 sets of these beautiful racks, some in better condition than others. One set was split in half and hung on our dining room wall as a gorgeous centerpiece that my wife decorates for each season. The 2nd, sits out front on our front porch with air plants growing in it, greeting our guests and neighbors. For the third rack, which was in the worst condition, I’ve sanded and smoothed the rough edges from decades in the cellars and will apply some weatherproofing stain to protect it against the PNW elements. I also need to replace the original hardware as it is rusted and falling apart as well. If you have any wine restoration projects, be sure to share!!
