Wine Spotlight: 2017 RÉSONANCE PINOT NOIR
2017 RÉSONANCE PINOT NOIR, WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OR
Tucked away in Carlton, OR, lives one of the most beautiful wineries and vineyards in Willamette Valley. Résonance Vineyard is making New World Pinot Noir, with a Burgundian feel, and their wines are the best blend of old world methods, with new world terroir.
Along with a beautiful tasting room, and spectacular customer service, the current tasting flight has a beautiful range of single vineyard and multi-vineyard Pinots. The standout for me was their mid-tier 2017 Pinot Noir, grown not far behind the tasting room on a gorgeous hillside facing the west end of the valley.
Earning 92 points, the 2017 Résonance boasts a beautiful and intense red color with a slight purple tinge that personifies the dark berry fruit on the nose and the palate. The wine's smooth and long finish has a minerality that reflects the volcanic soil in which the grapes were grown.
