World Book Day

Saturday was World Book Day, so I wanted to highlight some of my favorite Wine books that not only taught me a lot but continue to keep me interested and always learning about Wine. In addition to formal training books from WSET or CMS, I have really enjoyed "Wine Folly" by Madeline Puckette and Justin Hammack for some easy to digest info for wine lovers of all sizes. Kevin Zraly's "'Windows on the World" is also a must read for anyone interested in really understanding everything from grapes to terroir, winemakers, and vineyards. Lastly, my "Wine Bible" by Karen MacNeil, is my go-to and something I use to teach my "wine bible" study sessions. While more in depth than most books, it really breaks down the varietals by region, exploring some lesser-known facts and history of labels we know and love today. No matter which you choose, all of these reads have something for the occasional drinker, to the aspiring somm. So, grab yourself a glass and happy reading!
